I proudly hail from Wisconsin – the land of cheese, bubblers (a.k.a. drinking fountains), and legal underage drinking with parental guidance. More specifically, I grew up in a tiny farming town called Montello where minority populations are virtually nonexistent, proven by the fact that I made my first Jewish acquaintance when I arrived at NU. Despite growing up in a somewhat isolated environment, my roots have taught me to be as humble and open-minded and possible. They have also made me ready to jump at any opportunity to try something different, like my two new favorite hobbies – rock climbing and bikram yoga.
After two years of wandering about Northwestern’s campus waiting for my life destiny to smack me in the face, I finally found a major that seems to fit (or at least the one class was interesting) and I have figured out a plan, at least for the next year. As an anthropology major and environmental policy and culture minor, I am itching to get out of E-town and let the world open my eyes and challenge my mind, body, and soul as I explore the vastly different societies of China and Argentina.

EM! So stoked to have you join the195 and to follow your amazing adventures this year. Love you lots!
