Lindsey is a senior international studies and history major who has convinced her parents to allow her to study abroad for a second time. They agreed on the sole basis that sending her to Scotland for a quarter is considerably cheaper than paying Northwestern tuition, and are using their savings for a weekend in Vegas.
Growing up, she moved to ten different houses in twice as many years. Her family flips rundown homes in their spare time, so she was swinging a hammer at three, wallpapering by five, and installing roofing by fourteen. Unfortunately, those houses were all located in mundane towns with names like Buffalo Grove, IL. She attributes that constant movement to the way she is now: reluctant to stay in one place for long. She enjoys scenic bus rides, language barriers, and hiking down German mountains at 4 AM without a map.
This fall, Lindsey is eager to tackle one of the most beautiful (and rainiest) cities in Europe: Edinburgh, Scotland. She has been informed by her advisor that her background in Spanish will not help her interpret what the burly man in the kilt is yelling at her. She is most excited to try her hand at the bagpipes and, after centuries of speculation, conclusively prove the existence of the Loch Ness monster.

ummm…don’t look now but I think there is a monkey on your head. That is not the Loch Ness monster. When you find the monster, please do not try this trick with him. Keep the entertaining posts coming!
